Useless trivia…except the small chance that it’ll come up at pub quiz:
Violet Jessop served was a stewardess on the RMS Titanic and her sister ships: the RMS Olympic and the HMHS Brittanic. While the Olympic didn’t sink, it collided with a British warship and had to return to Southampton. It’s kind of bad ass that she survived all three disasters, but you have to wonder if she gave up on traveling by boat after the sinking of the Brittanic.
And, I learned all of this because of a reference to the Brittanic in Dinosaur comics. Sweet.
