Seriously? I don’t even have words for this. Part of me wants to curl into a ball under my bed and never come out, but I think I’m going to turn my anger into an eloquent letter to Congress about the absurdity of this proposed bill. It’s fine if you think that abortion is morally wrong. I won’t fault you because I would never choose to terminate a pregnancy unless my health was at stake. (It would make things a hell of a lot harder, but I’m lucky enough to have means and a support system to take responsibility. Others are not so lucky.) But, you know what — my personal moral convictions have no place in determining what’s best for an entire nation, and your convictions don’t either.
